Jurisdiction : The Consulate General of India, New York serves the residents of the following states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont, as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Indian Passports/PIO cards are processed and delivered normally on the fourth bsiness day except in reference cases. Tatkal/same day service is available for reissue of passports. Attestations are same day service. OCI processing may take up to two months.
Emergency Services: Visas are granted on Saturdays and Indian National Holidays (check Consulate Holidays) to persons of Indian origin between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., in case of a genuine emergency like death or illness of a blood relation, subject to production of proof and confirmed air tickets. No other service is available on Sundays and Embassy holidays.
